What we want but can't have.
I believe we have only managed to grasp a tiny essence of it. To understand it completely, we will need more energy than every single mind in this universe combined and perhaps, destroy them all in the process. For it is not to be discovered.
Time is the mystery of life. And perhaps the only one.
Imagine if we had the opportunity to figure it out. To solve this entire enigma and document the findings into millions of books and reward some random fool out there whom you probably would never have known if he hadn't come up with the colossal idea.
And then what happens? Well, it's basic human nature. Discover something, learn it, obsess with it, and then fuck it up. Find something, use it, exhaust it, and fuck it up. Realise something, solve it, be happy about it, and fuck it up.
Just as humans learn the mechanics of time and understand the depths of it, they're going to want to manipulate it. To fuck it up.
I mean, think about it. Are we ever content with what we have at present? Is our species one to appreciate what we have without desiring more? Is there a time we don't take things for granted? No. Never. Because we are human.
We are always going to want what we can't have. And when what we have is gone, we're going to want that too. We are always going to want to push something to its boundary until it gets fucked up, after which you obviously can't pursue it. That's why we can't figure out time. We aren't allowed. It's the one thing the higher power decided before unleashing us to destroy ourselves and this place.
And it's the one thing we're going to want forever.
Time. It's elusive. It's invisible. It's never there. And yet everytime you check there is less of it.
Time. Because we never have enough.
Cheers.
